From Europe we get this from Valitrus About Euro-Disco.
In 80's disco was very popular in Europe and USSR.
It was classic disco, Italodisco, Eurobeat, New-Wave etc.
USSR disco was presented by many local very popular artists.

Here is a chance for everyone in the United States to get an education. Alright Europe! Go to school on us. Tell us all about these artists, their songs, and anything else you can. Some of these artists, we here in the States, have heard of, others we have not. And I am sure that there are some more missing from this list! So go for it!
I noticed that ABBA is right at the top!

SILVETTI
European music never sounded so good, as when Bebu had something to do with it. SPRING RAIN(?) was great. He actually hired my wife to sing back-up for PLACIDO DOMINGO'S "Grenada" lp. She is credited along with the other girls. They are the Vocal Group of Cuban Singer, composer, arranger, pianist MEME SOLIS. Silvetti got around.RIP

Voyage is a production team and musicians of French origin...
their big time came with the s/t album on Marlin /TK, a breakthrough album in 1977

You're right PINKLADY!! "SOUVENIERS" & "LADY AMERICA" got huge club play in NYC when The Voyage LP was released in Europe. (before TK/Marlin picked it up) Those songs were the joints!

VOYAGE received incredible reaction here. To this day, many an "Expert" claims SOUVENIRS as the number one song of the disco era. DEJA VU??? I could swear I have done this before.... If you wanted, as a deejay, to absolutely pack the dance floor in 1978. Then VOYAGE was what you played. The things I did with those albums!! I rarely let them play as they were intended. Either I switched the order I would play them, remix them to death, or only play one song from the album at a time, saving the rest for later. What that ended up doing, was give VOYAGE a longer shelf life on my rotation. And while they may have been European, it was the US discos that made them a contender in the best of all time question. Not taking anything from their European success, I believe(I could be wrong) they were bigger in the States. Am I right guys?

Funny, I did not know there were twins in VOYAGE? Saw that "video" on youtube. Saw twins playing the piano? Or was it trick camera work? Seriously, that was great, except it was only 2+ minutes long? Now a question.--- Who were the vocalists of VOYAGE?? I don't know, but the girl with the braids looks familiar.

Yes it is Sylvia Mason on that video. Thanks for her name. And they were not twins, though they look alike. VOYAGE! What a great group. Why did they disband? Anyone know?
